Half Term Reminder
It is Half Term next week (Monday 28th April-Friday 1st June) We look forward to welcome everyone back on Monday 4th June.
Bank Holiday – 7th May 2018
A further reminder that next Monday (7th June) is a Bank Holiday so the school will be closed on this date. We will then be open as normal Tuesday to Friday. We are due to have a very warm weekend, so remember to keep hydrated and use sunscreen if you are out and about, but most of all enjoy the sunshine!

Date Reminder – Bank Holiday Alert!
Just to remind you next Monday (7th May 2018) is a bank holiday so the school will be closed. Following this the half term break will be from Monday 28th May until Friday 1st June with the school reopening on Monday 4th June.
Exciting Opportunity!
We have been very fortunate at SSPS for 2 of our students to be given the opportunity to attend a forthcoming Battlefields tour with other schools from the South West. Students who are eligable to attend have all been written to and invited to write to Jo Simons (Headteacher SSPS) to apply for a place on this fascinating trip. Upper School Trip March 2018
The Upper School Students visited the Devon Counry Pursuits site just before the Easter break. They all had a great time using Segways. Thanks to all the staff at Segway Exeter who made our staff and students so welcome and gave us an enjoyable day.
Summer Term 2018
Welcome to the Summer Term 2018 at SSPS. Some date reminders for this term are:
7th May Bank Holiday – No School
11th May GCSE Examinations start
25th May – 1st June Half Term.
Well Done!
Well done to staff and students for your hard work this term. Enjoy the Easter break and we look forward to seeing the students back at SSPS on Tuesday 10th April. Year 11’s remember the first GCSE examination date is the 11th May.
Monday 19th March
Please note the STEPS centre in Chard is closed today. Outreach and Outdoor Education services will not be running today. The Yeovil sites (Dampier Street, Wyndham View, The Bungalow) will all be open to students who can safely walk to school. V-Space will continue as usual. Please keep checking here for further notifications.
Weather Notice
SPPS is aware of the possibility of inclement weather affecting travel and attendance to school on Monday 19th March. A decision will be made later today as to whether it is safe to open the school tomorrow.
