PHSE Awareness September

Our PSHE Awareness topic for this month is “Self-Care September”. Students across our school will be learning how to identify what self-care strategies they already know, make a plan to build self-care practices into their existing routine, and take part in a range of self-care activities. This topic supports the Mental wellbeing strand of the Relationships Education and Health Education statutory guidance for PSHE.

Community Involvement

Some of our Students at our Chard Centre recently wrote to our local supermarket to see if they could help us out with any fruit & veg.  Tesco phoned school and spoke to the staff at Chard and have agreed to donate a box once a week!   This is the first box received and we are very grateful.  Our students persuasive writing worked!!  Well Done!

We are using these Awareness Days to teach our pupils about different charities and other important social issues, we are also trying to illustrate the power of community and that if we all join together we can effect change.
